Network Technical Specialist - Telco

The opportunity

We are seeking a Network Technical Specialist to augment within our telecommunications client.

Based on our client’s site in Sydney CBD (now WFH) you’ll join our team on an initial 12 Month contract.

The role will involve being the Subject Matter Expert for network & IT Infrastructure and providing L3 support to all network aspects. Other adjunct responsibilities will include deployment, migration and operation of new network services, as well as support of end to end network connectivity, routing/switching, firewalling and load-balancing services.

 

  • Delivering projects both in and out of hours that relate to network areas.
  • Delivering projects both in and out of hours that relate to network areas.
  • Provide Third Level Support (before Vendor Escalation) on various network technologies. Participate in Major Incidents as needed when above expertise is required.
  • Create and maintain the key Operational Documents, including Work Procedures


Skills & Experience

To successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Project and Support experience within network and security within a telecommunications environment
  • Strong  Cisco R&S within project and BAU
  • Security experience – F5 Load balancer
  • VMware/NSX
  • Previous migration experience to Cisco FTD technology
  • Data cenre networking concepts and technologies
